Update Nikon D70 -> D60, D80 or another brand?
My daughter is studying photography in September last year and inherited my Nikon D70 + + Some objective lens 35mm Nikon SLR (F50?). So your kit consists of: Nikon D 70 Sigma 18-50mm F3.5-5.6 (digital) Nikkor 35-80mm (originally for 35 mm) Sigma 70-300mm (originally for 35mm) Nikon Speedlight SB-600 She would like to upgrade your camera, and it seems to make sense to stick to Nikon for the rest of his kit and only enhance the camera body. She is a poor student for what would be the best value option available? Am I right in thinking that the D60 not take 35mm lenses, but the D80 would? Do you not get a better deal if marketed throughout and has a different composition? She is more creative than technician, is the use of lenses, but probably not use the more sophisticated options, especially in mathematics participation! O)
The D60 will mount all the objectives that a D70 could, but: No autofocus unless the objective is AF-S or AF-I No Exposure meter with lenses that do not have a CPU (the Most manual focus lenses) D60 shares much of the processing power of the D3/D300, but unless you only have your glass of a cut AF-S/AF-I general of a D70, except for the EXPEED processor and megapixel counts. The D80 is the real migration path from a D70.
